Prom transport in Toronto: a parent's guide to booking it properly
Prom season books out early and the questions parents actually have are about supervision and policy, not the car.
Prom is one of the busiest weekends of the year for specialty vehicles in the Greater Toronto Area, and the good ones are committed months ahead. It is also the booking where parents have the most questions, and they are rarely about the vehicle.
Book early — earlier than that
Prom weekends across the GTA cluster into a handful of dates in May and June. Stretch limousines and larger vehicles on those dates go early. If a specific vehicle matters, book as soon as the date is confirmed.
The policy questions parents ask
- Alcohol. It is not permitted for passengers under legal drinking age, and our chauffeurs enforce that. A booking is made on that basis.
- Route. We confirm the itinerary with the booking adult — pickup addresses, venue, and where everyone is going afterwards.
- Contact. The booking adult gets the chauffeur's details and can call during the evening.
- Changes on the night. Meaningful changes to the destination are referred back to the person who made the booking, not decided in the vehicle.
Sizing it honestly
Groups grow between booking and the night. A vehicle booked for eight that carries eleven is a safety problem, not a squeeze — every passenger needs a proper seat. Book for the number you expect plus the ones who will inevitably join.
Multiple pickups take time
Six addresses across a suburb is a long collection run, and it always takes longer than expected because someone is not ready. Either consolidate to one or two pickup points, or build a genuine margin into the schedule.
Afterwards
Agree the end of the night in advance — where everyone goes and at what time. That conversation is much easier at booking than at midnight. See the occasions page and the fleet.
